Delete Your Account
Effective October 6, 2026 · Last updated October 6, 2026
You can delete your Chainlink account, and the data that goes with it, at any time. Chainlink is operated by Leadman Properties & Services LLC, doing business as Chainlink. You can do it yourself in the app, or ask us to do it if you no longer have the app.
1. Delete in the app
- Open the Chainlink app and sign in.
- Go to the Profile tab and tap Advanced Settings.
- Tap Delete account and confirm.
Deletion starts straight away and you are signed out. Deleting the app from your phone does not delete your account.
2. Ask us to delete it
If you can't use the app, email info@thechainlinkapp.com with the subject line "Delete My Account". Send it from the email address on your account, or include the phone number or username you signed up with, so we can find it. We may ask you to confirm the request before we act on it, to protect your account from someone else deleting it.
Venue owners can use the same address to close a venue account.
3. What is deleted
- Your profile and sign-in account, and your private information (email, phone number, date of birth, gender and location).
- Your friends and connections, chains, outings, and your sharing and notification settings.
- Chats and messages you wrote, and your support conversations.
- Wall posts, comments, likes and moments, and the photos and videos you uploaded.
- Reports you filed.
- The records venues can see about you: drink logs, points, leaderboard entries, bounty claims, reward redemptions and payment-card links.
We generally finish deleting everything within 30 days of your request. If a step fails, we retry it.
4. What we keep, and for how long
- Backups: copies may stay in our backups for a limited time until they are overwritten.
- Venues' sales records: a venue's own records of purchases are kept, but any link to you is removed.
- Records we must keep: purchase and transaction records needed for tax and accounting; reports, moderation and audit records needed to enforce our Terms or address safety concerns; and information relevant to a legal claim or investigation. These are kept only as long as the law or that purpose requires.
- Information a venue already exported: anything a venue copied or exported before your request is covered by that venue's own practices.
The Privacy Policy has the full details.
5. Just want to stop sharing?
If you want to keep your account but stop venues from seeing activity that identifies you, turn off Share my activity with venues under Profile → Advanced Settings. You can also email us with the subject line "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information."
